Go Beyond the Pumpkin Spice Latte with These Festive Fall Favorites

Go Beyond the Pumpkin Spice Latte with These Festive Fall Favorites

Whether you’re squeezing every moment out of the changing seasons or embracing the opportunity to slow down, there’s something on this list of fall festivities in the Denver Metro area for everyone.

Coffee & Cafes

Where Autumn is concerned, flavor is the reason for the season. Grounds For Dismissal Coffee is wowing Fall fans with two delightful new offerings: The Fall Coffee Flight & The Tiny Pie Flight. The four mini pies include Mocha, Pumpkin Pie, Nutella, and Cinnamon Apple Butter. And if that weren’t decadent enough, all of the pies are topped with homemade pumpkin spice whipped cream. (Also, if looking for a vegan or GF pumpkin spice latte, you have to try their handmade syrups). These fall treats are so festive they were even featured on Denver Foodie.

Want to indulge in peak pumpkin spice season while being mindful of wellness and nutrition? Nutrition Kingdom has your back with a delicious lineup of smoothie shakes, including Apple Pie, Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake, and Pumpkin Mocha.

Brews & Booze

The DTC location of Holidaily Brewing Company currently has several tempting seasonal beers on tap. Want to try a variety of flavors? The It’s Fall Y’all Flight is only $11.50 and features 4 tasty brews: Patchy Waters Pumpkin Ale, PSL, Bobo’s Apple Pie Pastry Ale, and Chai Porter.

At the Great Divide Brewing Co, they’re churning out some of the coolest cans we’ve ever seen. Both the Pumpkin Spice Yeti and Pumpkin Ale feature exceptionally cool cans, with the ale sporting a particularly spooky Headless Horseman.

Prefer cocktails? The Rumpkin Smash from cocktail from Number Thirty Eight brings together citrus and pumpkin for the perfect transition from Summer to Fall. According to their website, “YES, it’s a pumpkin pie cocktail, and NO, you are not basic for ordering it.”

Places to go and things to do

Ready to get out in the crisp fall air? Consider planning a one-of-a-kind outdoor dining experience for you and your friends with the Denver Picnic Co. Their seasonal spreads are breathtaking in color, texture, variety, and ambiance. If you prefer to enjoy a casual experience, grab a blanket and cuddle up with a graze box from The Board Collection. Feeling inspired? They will also be hosting workshops themed around creating your own spooky charcuterie boards so you can dazzle your future party guests with your skills!

If you’re in the mood for apple picking, consider making a big batch of homemade hard cider with this recipe from Renegade Brewing. (Something tells us that peeling all those apples will definitely be worth it!) While you’re at it, check out the Pumpkin Harvest Festival on October 8th & 9th at Historic Four Mile Park. Each year this crowd-pleasing festival features a pumpkin patch, tractor rides, and petting zoo.

Ironton Distillery & Crafthouse will host its annual Fall Harvest festival on Saturday, October 1st. This family-friendly event will have a pumpkin patch, selfie booth, live music, and an outdoor screening of a Halloween movie. For the 21+ crowd, there will be free tastings of their seasonal, limited release, Pumpkin Spice Liqueur.

Looking for something spookier? Explore Historic Four Mile Park after dark during Spirits & Spirits – a 21+ event that takes visitors on a tour of the mysterious side of history with grim reenactments and a lantern-lit tour of the house after dark. Spooky Denver pub crawls by Nightly Spirits or Golden History Tours can be a fun way to explore the area while grabbing a few beers and hearing some scary tales.
